A winter programme of printmaking, drawing and stories that lets families create alongside working artists.
The Family Studio opens wide for a season built around making together. Artists lead practical sessions in drawing and print, while stories and gallery prompts give younger visitors different ways to explore the collection.
Ways to take part
Weekend workshops welcome families throughout the day with no fixed start time. During the week, materials remain available at drawing stations around the galleries, and mornings include a quieter story space for children under five.
- Artist-led drop-ins every Saturday and Sunday, 11 am–3 pm
- Complimentary drawing supplies available throughout the week
- Weekday story sessions designed for under-fives
- Activities included with admission; visitors under 12 enter free
Practical details
Studio aprons are ready to borrow, though clothes that can handle a little ink are recommended. Buggies can enter most spaces; baby slings are available beside the print room.
